Dr. Surender Singh Siwach is a distinguished agricultural scientist and academician, bringing over four decades of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, with a specialized focus on cotton breeding and higher education management.

He has held numerous leadership positions including Director of Research, Director of Extension Education, and Dean at various prestigious institutions. Dr. Siwach has made nationally recognized contributions to cotton research, including the development of several hybrids and varieties—most notably, India's first Genetic Male Sterility-based hybrid in desi cotton.

He has also played a pivotal role in initiating postgraduate and doctoral programs in agriculture, facilitating institutional accreditation processes, and guiding agricultural research policy at the national level.
