Event Description

Sharda University Agra successfully organized the first day of the Student Council Election Process for Session 2026–27 with a screening and counseling meeting for the selection of student council office bearers. During todays interview process, nominated candidates for the posts of President, Cultural Secretary, and Treasurer were interviewed.

This significant process was conducted at Conference Hall 118 of the university, where students participated enthusiastically and presented their leadership skills, personality, vision, and ideas for the development of the university.

The screening panel witnessed the gracious presence of senior university officials and academicians. The panel members included Ms. Deepti Verma (IQAC Member), Dr. Amit Sharma (Chief Proctor), Mr. Kapil Attri (Sports Officer), and the program Convener Dr. Vasundhara Saxena (Dean Students Welfare). The panel evaluated all candidates fairly, transparently, and with great seriousness.

Dr. Vasundhara Saxena stated that the Student Council Election Process serves as a powerful platform to develop leadership qualities, responsibility, and organizational skills among students. She emphasized that this process provides students with an opportunity to understand democratic values and actively contribute to the progress of the university.

The university administration described this initiative as an important step toward student leadership development and extended best wishes to all participants for a bright future. Interviews and selection processes for other positions will continue in the upcoming phases.
