About the Programme

B. Tech in Electronics and Communication is a four-year undergraduate programme focused on utilising science and applied mathematics to solve practical problems in the field of communications. Broadly, the programme intends to inculcate an in-depth understanding of signals, circuits and how to use differential equations techniques for developing excellent Electronics and Communication products and devices.

The programme commences with acquainting the students to the principles of Electronics Engineering, Digital Signal Processing, Computer Networks, Analog Electronics and Network Theory. Progressively the programme deals with subjects like Digital Communication Computer Architecture and Technical Skill Enhancement.

In addition, the programme also focuses on improving the skill set of students through industrial visits and practical sessions. A good number of weeks are dedicated training slots incorporated within the curriculum for the same. Students interested in learning more about Electronics and Communication can further pursue higher education.

  • PO1: Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • PO2: Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions with consideration for sustainable
  • development.
  • PO3: Design/Development of Solutions: Design creative solutions for complex engineering problems and design/develop systems/components/processes to meet identified needs with consideration for the public health and safety, whole-life cost, net zero carbon, culture, society and environment as required.
  • PO4: Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Conduct investigations of complex engineering problems using research-based knowledge including design of experiments, modelling, analysis & interpretation of data to provide valid conclusions.
  • PO5: Engineering Tool Usage: Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering & IT tools, including prediction and modelling recognizing their limitations to solve complex engineering problems.
  • PO6: The Engineer and The World: Analyze and evaluate societal and environmental aspects while solving complex engineering problems for its impact on sustainability with reference to economy, health, safety, legal framework, culture and environment.
  • PO7: Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics, human values, diversity and inclusion adhere to national & international laws.

  • PSO2: Graduates will be able to understand, analyze, design, and develop electronic and communication systems using modern technologies such as VLSI, IoT, wireless communication, and artificial intelligence to meet industry and societal requirements.
  • PSO3: Graduates will effectively utilize industry-standard software and engineering tools such as MATLAB, Multisim, LTspice, Cadence, Xilinx, HFSS, and embedded system development platforms for modeling, simulation, design, testing, and validation of electronic and communication systems.

Eligibility Criteria
For National Students
  • Sr. Secondary (10+2) 50% marks (PCM) without gap between 10th and 12th.
  • Minimum 50% marks in Maths + Online Test, Followed by Personal Interview OR JEE-Mains All India Rank upto 3 Lakh.
For International Students The eligibility criterion for all programs for international applicants is minimum 50% in the qualifying examination and having studied the pre-requisite subjects for admission in to the desired program.
