About
Dr. Manjunath P, a researcher specializing in tuberculosis (TB), Mycobacterium tuberculosis pathogenesis, host–pathogen interactions, and immunology. My research focuses on understanding how M. tuberculosis virulence factors, including DNA methyltransferases and other proteins, regulate bacterial persistence, immune evasion and host responses. My work also investigates CD1b restricted T-cell-mediated protection, epigenetic regulation, vaccine development, and translational approaches to TB. My extensive experience with BSL-3 infection models, transgenic mice, GEM T cells, immune profiling, molecular biology, and recombinant protein studies, with 10+ publications and a patented M. tuberculosis signature protein.
