Sharda School of Pharmacy, Sharda University Agra organized a guest talk to commemorate Intellectual Property Day on April 23rd, 2024. The Department of Pharmacology aimed to delve into the "Technical intricacies of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)", featuring Dr. Ramanpreet Walia, a Registered Patent Agent and Professor at Amity University, Noida, as the guest speaker. Dr. Walia's expertise in the field promised valuable insights into the nuances of IPR, particularly within pharmaceuticals. 

Prof. (Dr.) Kashmira J. Gohil, Dean highlighted the emerging trends and recent developments in IPR, providing attendees with insights into the evolving landscape of intellectual property in the pharmaceutical sector.

Dr. Walia's presentation elucidated the technical aspects of intellectual property rights, offering a comprehensive overview of patent laws, regulations, and processes governing the protection of pharmaceutical innovations. Through real-world examples and case studies, attendees gained a deeper understanding of the practical implications of IPR in drug discovery, development, and commercialization.

Dr. Manish Pal Singh, HoD Pharmacology, and Mr. Ashutosh Solanki (Asst. Prof.) were the conveners of the event.
