SSOP observes World No Tobacco Day 2025

Sharda School of Pharmacy, Sharda University Agra, observed World No Tobacco Day 2025 with a thoughtful and impactful theme “Healthy Beginning, Hopeful Futures.” The program aimed to raise awareness about the adverse health effects of tobacco use and to encourage healthier lifestyle choices among students and the broader community.
The event was held under the visionary leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Jayanthi Ranjan, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Sharda University Agra, whose continued guidance has been instrumental in fostering socially responsible and health-oriented educational initiatives across the university.
Prof. (Dr.) Umesh Kumar Sharma, Dean, Sharda School of Pharmacy emphasized the vital role of pharmacy professionals in public health promotion and the prevention of tobacco-related diseases. Prof. (Dr.) Gyanendra Kumar Sharma, Assistant Dean, Sharda School of Pharmacy, actively participated in the event alongside faculty members, staff, and students, ensuring enthusiastic engagement and community outreach.
The event was efficiently coordinated by Mr. Vikash Sharma, Assistant Professor, who served as the Event In-charge. Organized by the Cultural Committee, the program featured two major segments Poster Presentation Competition and Awareness Rally within the campus, where participants carried placards and raised slogans to promote a tobacco-free lifestyle.
The observance of World No Tobacco Day at Sharda School of Pharmacy powerfully reinforced the institution's dedication to public health advocacy and educational outreach.
