Sharda School of Pharmacy celebrated World Malaria Day 2024

Sharda School of Pharmacy, Sharda University Agra organized an event to commemorate World Malaria Day on 25th April 2024 addressing the theme of "Health Equity, Gender, and Human Rights". The event organized by the Department of Pharmaceutics aimed to shed light on the intersectionality of health issues and societal disparities.

Prof. (Dr.) Kashmira J. Gohil, Dean welcomed the distinguished guests and highlighted the importance of malaria treatment strategies.

The event was presided over by the esteemed Vice-Chancellor of Sharda University Agra Prof. (Dr.) Jayanthi Ranjan emphasized the university's commitment to addressing health challenges, focusing on equity and human rights.


Chief Guest Dr. (Maj) Vishwa Deepak, Pushpanjali Hospital, and Guest of Honor Dr. Abhishek Sharma, SiddhiVinayak Hospital, graced the occasion. Their expertise added depth to discussions surrounding malaria prevention and treatment strategies.

Convener of the event, Dr. Ritesh Kumar (Asso. Prof. and HoD Pharmaceutics) raised awareness about the importance of prevention, early diagnosis, and effective treatment of malaria.

The events organized were slogan competition, skit, quiz competition, and treasure hunt. The winners of the event were awarded with certificates.

Along with the convener, Mrs. M. Shamshath Begum (Asst. Prof.) and Mrs. Aastha Sharma (Asst. Prof.) were the coordinators of the event.

The gathering served as a platform for insightful deliberations and collaborative efforts toward combating malaria and promoting health equity.
