Sharda Sports Connect 2026 – Indoor Games for Faculty & Staff Inaugural Ceremony

DSW, Sharda University Agra, organized the Opening Ceremony of Sharda Sports Connect 2026 – Indoor Games for Faculty & Staff on 05 June 2026 at the Architecture Building.

The event was inaugurated by Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Parma Nand, in the presence of Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Mishra, faculty members, staff, and participating teams from various departments.

Addressing the gathering, the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of sports in promoting teamwork, discipline, wellness, and a positive work culture. He formally declared the event open and encouraged all participants to compete with enthusiasm and sportsmanship.

The competition witnessed active participation from teams representing ASET, SSP, SSBS, IT, Digital&Social Media, T&P, CoE, Administration, IQAC, and Admissions.

The Indoor Games featured four exciting team events—Cups and Ball Challenge, Footprint Challenge, Jumbled Words Challenge, and Musical Chair (designed to promote coordination, collaboration, and healthy competition among faculty and staff members.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and overwhelming engagement from faculty and staff members across departments. The games provided a refreshing break from the routine work environment, fostering a spirit of camaraderie, teamwork, and healthy competition. Participants thoroughly enjoyed the activities, which created an atmosphere of enthusiasm, interaction, and positivity, offering a welcome change from their regular professional schedules. The event successfully strengthened interdepartmental bonding and contributed to a vibrant and energetic campus culture.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Registrar, organizing committee, and all participating teams for their support and enthusiastic involvement, making the opening ceremony a grand success.

The event was successfully coordinated and executed by Ms. Anandita Chauhan, Assistant Manager, DSW and Mr. Kapil Kumar Attri, Sports Office, under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Vasundhara Saxena, Incharge Dean – Student Welfare. Their collective efforts, effective planning, and commitment to fostering employee engagement contributed significantly to the success of the programme and ensured a memorable experience for all participants. The event was widely appreciated by faculty and staff members, who welcomed the opportunity to engage in a refreshing and enjoyable sporting environment beyond their regular work responsibilities.
