Hosts Expert Session on International Day for Biological Diversity

Sharda School of Pharmacy, Sharda University Agra, celebrated the International Day for Biological Diversity on 22nd May 2025 by organizing an expert session on the globally relevant theme “Harmony with Nature & Sustainable Development”.

The session was organized under the esteemed leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Jayanthi Ranjan, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Sharda University Agra, whose continuous support promotes academic excellence coupled with environmental consciousness. The session was convened by Prof. (Dr.) Umesh Kumar Sharma, Dean, Sharda School of Pharmacy, who emphasized the role of pharmacy and allied sciences in promoting ecological health and sustainability.

The guest speaker for the session was Dr. Harmeet Singh, Professor and Head, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, PCTE Group of Institutes, Ludhiana, Punjab. His talk provided deep insights into sustainable development and emphasized actionable strategies to harmonize pharmaceutical progress with environmental conservation.

The event was meticulously coordinated by Dr. Ritesh Kumar, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics, Sharda School of Pharmacy, who served as the Event In-charge. The session witnessed active participation from faculty members, students, and academic staff.

The expert session organized by the Cultural Committee reflected the institution's enduring commitment to environmental awareness and global ecological responsibility.
