Hosts IIC Progress Meet, Celebrates Innovation Milestones & Charts Future Roadmap

Sharda University Agra successfully hosted the Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) Progress Review Meeting under the Ministry of Educations IIC framework. The event marked a major milestone in the university's innovation journey, celebrating achievements from the 2024–25 academic year while laying out an ambitious roadmap for future growth.
Key Highlights:
- Prof. (Dr.) Jayanthi Ranjan, Honble Vice Chancellor, shared a compelling vision for cultivating an innovation-led academic culture aligned with the national mission of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
- Prof. (Dr.) R. Swaminathan, President of IIC, emphasized real-world problem-solving and acknowledged Dr. Amit Sehgal for his key role in mentoring student innovators.
- Guest speakers included startup founders Mr. Deepak Kumar Singh and Mr. Gaurav Mudgal, who provided industry perspectives, along with IPR expert Ms. Reema Sahni Mediratta, who guided attendees on patent filing and IP protection.
Achievements 2024–25:
- 10 student ideas nurtured
- 3 pre-incubation projects supported
- 3 startups incubated: NovonixSoft, Flytales, Aerocharge
- 54 patents published, 13 patents granted
- 90 research publications across disciplines
- Funding proposals submitted: ₹4.63 Cr (ITBI-NIDHI) and ₹12.76 Lakh (UPCST)
- 28 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed
- Launch of a new 10,000 sq. ft. incubation facility
Roadmap Ahead:
- Capacity-building workshops for faculty and students
- Startup policy orientation programs
- Launch of a centralized idea submission portal
This review meet reaffirmed Sharda University Agras dedication to fostering a culture of innovation, supporting entrepreneurship, and enhancing industry-academia collaboration. With continued support and strategic initiatives, the university is well on its way to becoming a hub for future-ready innovators and leaders.
