Organizes Hackathon (Codathon) to Celebrate National Technology Day 2025

In celebration of National Technology Day 2025, Sharda University Agra successfully organized an engaging Hackathon (Codathon) under the aegis of the Anand School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), in collaboration with IIC Sharda University Agra. The competitive event, hosted on the globally recognized platform HackerRank, drew participation from over 100 students across B.Tech, BCA, and MCA programs, all eager to showcase their programming skills and problem-solving acumen.
The initiative was held under the visionary leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Jayanthi Ranjan, Honble Vice-Chancellor of Sharda University Agra, whose mission centers on nurturing global leaders through innovation-led education. The Hackathon was further guided by Prof. (Dr.) R. Swaminathan, Dean, ASET, ensuring that the event aligned with both academic standards and evolving industry needs.
Over the course of three hours, participants solved a series of challenges focusing on programming fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms — fostering computational thinking and promoting a deep culture of analytical problem-solving, in true alignment with the spirit of National Technology Day.
The event was enriched by the encouragement and guidance of academic leaders including Prof. Achal Kumar, HoD, CSE, and Prof. Amithabh Pathnabam, HoD, CA. Prof. (Dr.) Shailendra Singh, Dean (DSW), applauded the passion and commitment displayed by all participants.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) R. Swaminathan remarked,
“This Hackathon reflects our commitment to practical, skill-based learning that bridges the gap between academics and industry expectations.”
The event was seamlessly coordinated by Prof. Vinay Agrawal, with Prof. Gopalji Varshneya, Convener of the Codathon, expressing pride in the students performances.
“Our students are the heroes of a technologically empowered New Bharat,” he said. “Their confidence and creativity signify the emergence of India as a global tech leader.”
