Guest Lecture: Introduction to Psychology - Exploring the Mind and Behaviour

Sharda School of Humanities had the privilege of hosting a thought-provoking guest lecture titled “Introduction to Psychology: Exploring the Mind and Behaviour” on September 13, 2025, in Room No. 118. The session was led by the distinguished Dr. Shiv Kumar Singh, Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology, Agra College, Agra. With over 12 years of experience as a Counselor at the Family Counselling Centre, Police Commissionerate, Agra, and serving as the President of the UP Chapter of Mental Health Action by People, Dr. Singh brought a wealth of expertise and insight to the discussion.
The lecture offered students and faculty a compelling overview of psychological principles, human behaviour, and mental processes, emphasizing the relevance of psychology in everyday life and professional practice. Dr. Singhs engaging delivery and real-world examples enriched the learning experience, sparking curiosity and dialogue among attendees.
