NOMINATION FORM

The University Student Council (USC) serves as the official representative body of the student community, working collaboratively with the Dean of Student Welfare (DSW) and faculty. It functions within the framework of a constitution, providing students with a platform for leadership, expression, and active participation in university life.
The Council is dedicated to promoting the interests of the institution, enhancing student welfare, and fostering a vibrant academic and cultural environment.

Constitution and Selection Process

  • Students from both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs will be nominated by the Heads of Schools in consultation with DSW.
  • Shortlisted students will undergo an interview process conducted by the DSW.
  • Selection will be based on Curriculum Vitae (CV), Statement of Purpose (SOP), and Proposed Action Plan for their role.
  • Final selection will follow a democratic process under the supervision of the Dean of Student Welfare.

Responsibilities of the Student Council
  • Representing student concerns and resolving issues through structured dialogue with DSW.
  • Acting as a bridge between students, faculty, and administration.
  • Organizing university-level events (academic, cultural, sports, and community service).
  • Promoting student well-being (mental, physical, and social).
  • Encouraging student leadership, volunteerism, and innovation.
  • Collaborating with placement, cultural, and sports committees to maximize student opportunities.

Conclusion

The establishment of the University Student Council will provide a structured and democratic platform for student representation at Sharda University, Agra.
